Questions

The six things people ask before they apply

Ask us something else
How much can I borrow?
From R500 to R3 000. What you are actually offered depends on your affordability assessment, which looks at your income, your expenses and what you already owe, so that the repayment is one you can comfortably make on payday.
How quickly can I get the money?
Once your loan is approved, your agreement is signed and your DebiCheck mandate is authorised, the money is paid into your bank account, usually within 24 hours. Your own bank's processing times are the part neither of us controls.
What do I need to apply?
Your South African ID or a valid permit, your last three payslips, three months of bank statements and a bank account in your own name. You photograph or download them and upload them with the online application. Nothing needs to be posted, faxed or certified.
Who can apply?
Employed individuals with a regular income who need a short-term loan until payday, and who meet our lending and affordability requirements. We cannot lend to somebody under debt review or sequestration.
What does a loan actually cost?
Interest, an initiation fee and a monthly service fee, all of them capped by the National Credit Act, and no hidden fees on top. The calculator at the top of this page shows an estimate for any amount, and you get the exact figures in rand, in writing, before you sign.
What is DebiCheck?
DebiCheck is the banking system's way of making sure you have agreed to a debit order. When you sign your loan agreement, your bank asks you to confirm the repayment mandate — the amount and the date — and nothing can be collected that you have not authorised.
